Lead Finder
▶ How to Use Lead Finder
Lead Finder helps you discover potential clients in any city, in any industry, and reach out to them with a personalized email — all from inside the Partner Portal. This guide walks you through finding leads, understanding what each Source does, and sending outreach.
Step 1 — Enter a Location
Type a city in the Location field. Adding the state or province produces more accurate results — Austin, TX works better than Austin alone.
Lead Finder searches the area around the location you provide. Neighborhoods and suburbs work too — Brooklyn, NY and Cap Cana, DR both return useful results.
Step 2 — Pick a Target Industry
Use the Target Industry dropdown to choose which type of business you want to find. The list covers every industry One Dash Zero serves — HVAC, plumbing, dental, legal, real estate, salons, and more.
Pick one industry per search. To prospect across multiple industries, run separate searches.
Step 3 — Choose Your Sources
The Sources checkboxes control where Lead Finder looks. By default, only Google Maps is selected — this is the live business directory and produces real, contactable leads with names, addresses, phone numbers, and ratings.
Each Source behaves differently. Here's what each one does:
Google Maps — Queries Google Places for businesses matching your industry and location. This is the primary source. When checked, you'll get a results table with one row per business, including emails when available, and a Send button to email outreach directly.
Chambers of Commerce — Adds queries for local Chamber of Commerce member directories. Useful for finding established, community-rooted businesses that may not show up as prominently on Google Maps. Returns the same kind of result row as Google Maps.
BNI Chapters — Adds queries for businesses participating in BNI (Business Network International) networking groups. Useful for finding owners actively building referral relationships. Same result format as the above.
Facebook Groups — Does not return businesses in the results table. Instead, after the search runs, a blue Facebook Groups button appears that opens Facebook's group search pre-filled with your industry and location (e.g., "HVAC Miami"). You browse the resulting groups manually on Facebook, find prospects there, and reach out via Facebook Messenger.
Reddit — Does not return businesses in the results table. Instead, after the search runs, an orange Reddit Communities button appears that opens Reddit's community search pre-filled with your industry and location. You browse industry-specific subreddits, find conversations relevant to your prospects, and engage there.
You can combine Sources in any way. Google Maps + Chambers + BNI gives you the broadest table of contactable leads. Facebook + Reddit (without Google Maps) gives you no table but launches both social-search buttons for manual prospecting.
Step 4 — Run the Search
Click the blue Search button. Searches usually take 5–15 seconds depending on how many sources are selected.
When the search completes, you'll see a summary like 40 Results (5 with email) if Google Maps, Chambers, or BNI returned data. The number in parentheses tells you how many results have an email address — these are the leads you can contact directly from the portal.
If you searched only Facebook or Reddit, no results table appears — just the social-search button below the Search bar.
Step 5 — Review the Results
Each result shows the business name, address, phone number, website, and where available, the rating and review count. Results with an email address have a Send button next to them. Results without an email show a Website link instead.
Use the rating and review count to prioritize. A business with strong ratings and an active web presence is generally a stronger fit than one with no online footprint.
Step 6 — Send Outreach
Click Send on any result with an email address. A pre-filled outreach message opens — review it, edit anything you want to personalize, and send.
Outreach is rate-limited to 5 emails per day to protect deliverability and your sender reputation. If you hit the limit, the Send button becomes temporarily unavailable until the next day.
Step 7 — Use the Social Buttons
If you checked Facebook Groups or Reddit, the corresponding button appears below the Search bar after results return.
Facebook Groups opens a pre-filtered Facebook group search for your industry and location. Browse the groups, request to join the relevant ones, and engage with members directly through Facebook Messenger.
Reddit Communities opens a pre-filtered Reddit subreddit search. Browse the communities, read recent posts, and engage in conversations where your prospects are already active.
These channels are slower than email but warmer — they put you in front of prospects in environments they trust.
Tips for Better Results
- Start broad, then narrow. A search for "HVAC in Austin, TX" returns more than "HVAC in West Lake Hills, TX." Cast a wide net first, then narrow as you learn which neighborhoods produce the best leads.
- Re-run searches monthly. Business listings change. The same query a month from now will surface new leads.
- Match the industry exactly. Searching "Plumbing" for an HVAC business won't surface it. Pick the closest match in the dropdown.
- Send to email-having results first. They convert at the highest rate. The Send button removes most of the friction of outreach.
- Use Google Maps + one social source together. The fastest workflow is Google Maps for the contactable leads + Facebook or Reddit for warm community engagement, run in the same search.
If something doesn't work as expected, try a different location or industry first. If the issue persists, reach out to your One Dash Zero contact.

▶ How to Use Facebook Marketing
Facebook Marketing helps you reach small business owners in your state through organic Facebook group posts. Real posts, real communities — no ads, no spend.
Getting started
- Use "Find Groups" below to discover Facebook groups in your area. Pick a niche (HVAC, Plumbing, etc.) and your state is automatically applied. Facebook opens in a new tab with a pre-filled search.
- When you find a group that fits your audience, request to join it on Facebook. Many groups ask a question — One Dash Zero can help you write a strong answer (look for the "Application answer assist" button after you add the group).
- Once you're approved into the group, mark it as "Joined" in your portal.
Posting
- Joined groups appear in "Ready to Post Today" once their waiting period clears. Most groups want a 7-day buffer between promotional posts from new members — your portal handles this for you.
- Click "Compose Post" on a ready group. The portal generates a post tailored to that group's niche, with an image from the One Dash Zero creative library and a tracked link.
- Edit the text if you want, then click "Copy" to copy the post and "Download" to save the image. Open Facebook, paste, post, then come back and click "Mark Posted" so we can track results.
Posting limits
- 10 posts per day, per platform
- You'll see a yellow warning if you're posting too heavily in the same niche or city (4-post soft caps to keep your account in good standing with Facebook)
What's tracked
- Every post includes a tracked link. The Attribution panel shows you which posts drove clicks and which clicks turned into signups and commission. Top-performing creatives surface so you know which images work best in which niches.
Tips
- Be genuinely helpful before you promote. Groups penalize repeat self-promotion. Mix in comments, answers, and non-promotional posts.
- Read each group's rules before posting. Some groups require you to be a member for 14+ days before any link is allowed.
- Don't post the same text to multiple groups in the same day. Facebook flags this as spam.

▶ How to Use Reddit Marketing
Reddit Marketing helps you reach small business owners through subreddit posts. Reddit is sensitive to overt promotion — the portal generates posts written to fit Reddit's tone.
Getting started
- Use "Find Subreddits" below to discover subreddits in your niche. Pick a niche; Reddit's search opens in a new tab. Look for subreddits where small business owners actually hang out (r/smallbusiness, r/Entrepreneur, niche subs like r/HVAC, r/Plumbing).
- Subscribe to subreddits you want to post in. Most subreddits let you subscribe in one click — there's no application process like Facebook groups.
- Click "Add Subreddit" in your portal to track it. It moves straight to "Joined" — no waiting period to mark joined.
Posting
- Joined subreddits appear in "Ready to Post Today" once their cooldown clears. Reddit cares more about post frequency than Facebook does — don't flood subreddits.
- Click "Compose Post" on a ready subreddit. The portal calls Claude to write you a Reddit-appropriate title and body for that subreddit's niche, with an image from the One Dash Zero creative library and a tracked link.
- Reddit posts need a title — every post has one. Both title and body are editable. Click "Regenerate" to get a fresh draft if the first one isn't right.
- When the post reads well, click "Copy" to copy the title and body, "Download" for the image, then post to Reddit and click "Mark Posted" so we can track results.
Posting limits
- 10 posts per day, per platform
- Reddit shadow-bans accounts that post promotional content too frequently. Spread posts across days and subreddits.
What's tracked
- Every post includes a tracked link. The Attribution panel shows clicks and signups per post, with top-performing creatives surfaced for each niche.
Reddit-specific tips
- Don't post the same text across multiple subreddits in the same day. Reddit calls this "spam" and will remove your posts or ban your account.
- Build comment karma first. New accounts with no history get filtered by most subreddits' automod rules. Comment helpfully in subreddits for a week or two before your first post.
- Read each subreddit's rules. Some forbid any link, even contextual ones. Some require self-posts only (no images).
- When in doubt, post a question or insight first, mention One Dash Zero in a comment if it comes up naturally — not in the post body.
